Straight answers

What happens if I stop paying the subscription? +
Everything you've stored stays. Forever. Active features — AI Organizer, Circles posting, bulk uploads — pause until you resubscribe. Your vault, your memorials, your photos: untouched and permanently preserved. The one-time purchase guarantees that. The subscription is just the activity layer on top.
Can another family member take over payment? +
Yes. Any Circle admin or trustee can pick up the subscription through the Family Bridge billing tab. There's a voluntary transfer flow (billing owner nominates someone) and a lapse takeover flow (an admin steps in when billing lapses). Your circle doesn't go dark while the handoff happens.
Is my data really stored forever? +
Yes. AES-256 encrypted, permanent storage. We use Arweave for decentralized permanent storage — files written to Arweave are cryptographically guaranteed to persist. We have no deletion policy, ever. Your one-time purchase secures a permanent slot. This isn't marketing language — it's the architecture.
Do I need both a purchase and a subscription? +
No. The one-time purchase locks in permanent preservation of everything you've stored — memorials, vault files, encrypted data. The subscription adds active features like AI analysis, Circles posting, and bulk upload. You can have either or both. Many people purchase a tier for permanence, then add the subscription when they're actively building their archive.
What's the Reliquary? +
The Reliquary is Eternal Garden's posthumous vault access system. Designated trustees can petition to unlock your encrypted vault after your passing — with identity verification, optional legal document submission, and a 90-day owner notification window. Higher tiers (Fortress, Vault) add Shamir key sharing and multi-signature security for maximum protection.
What encryption do you use? +
AES-256-GCM, client-side. Your files are encrypted in your browser before they ever leave your device. We never see your unencrypted data. The encryption key never touches our servers. Even in the event of a breach, your memories are unreadable without your key.
